Team Shake App Reviews

This app does what it says but the UI could use a lot of work. One thing the team shake app is missing completely is the ability to generate teams within groups. Say 3 groups with multiple teams of 2 players facing each other off within that group. Verdict: even tho its not pretty it seems to be useful for all regular team generation tasks but lacks the features to make it useable for games that have group phases.

Please add wide format and improve usability :) Maybe add max. limit for teams and generate the count of teams.

Functions as described. Can be improved: - please make it so that absent players are all grouped at the bottom of the main list and present players at the top. All while re-organizing both groups (present and absent) of names to be in alphabetical order by first or last name (add an option setting). - a better hat picture in the background Ty for the app but I believe these suggestions need to implemented soon for overall improvement.

Does what its supposed to. Look at the picture to determine if this is working for you. I sent the developer 3 emails to see if a tweak was possible and Im still waiting an answer.

I have used this app to sort each of my classes into random groups. The absent feature is useful, as well as the feature that allows me to put students on opposing teams (ie they wont be in the same group). I have used this to create a seating plan on the fly when it was clear the kids needed a change. These were things that took me a fair bit of time in the past. *update*. The new update makes it even easier for me to temporarily remove absent students, and also allows me to pick a random student to ask a question to. Great!

Id like it to default to 2 teams (currently 4) when I open it up. I found a very minor bug, reported it and recieved immediate response from developer. He will also implement my request Very satisfied

Excellent app for a coach or teacher who needs to change the teams constantly. The ability to rate the students help make sure team are fair.

I mean its ok for gym teachers but by the title of this app it sounds like a thing where you pick one name and say like for example Paige then pick another person. It only makes teams.

Such a fabulous app. Everyone Ive shared it with has bought it too. Love the ability to keep specific students apart, but wish there was a way to hide the numbers indicating the oppose teams. I really like that I can choose to have a certain number of teams, or a specific number of people per team. Contrary to other reviewer, there actually is a function that allows you to pick a student at random.

Great app for sports. Use it for pickup hockey and it works very good and splits the teams evenly provided you rate your players accurately. Excellent customer support as well.

The best group randomizer in the App Store. Only one Ive seen that allows you to import CSV student lists and does a wonderful job of evening out strengths and genders. The UI needs some work as it looks childish but Ill take it!

Absolutely love this app! It takes all "awkwardness" and disagreements out of creating partners or teams - students never argue with an app! It is easy to use, allows you to save more than one class list, and has options for same- or different-gender groupings, as well as heterogeneous or homogeneous groupings in terms of strength. One suggestion would be to include more than one rating scale for "strength", so that teachers can modify their students profiles in terms of more than one type of strength/skill (e.g., phys. ed., math, language, etc.)

Love this app. Use it in PR classes all the time. No more complaints from students about unfair picking of teams!

The ability to randomly create groups, but with ability levels, is just what every teacher needs. Thank you for this app.

The ability to create groups is awesome. I wish I could save the groups and I wish the groups would reorder the kids instead of following the list and dividing them. The students listed first are always first and the students last in the full list are last in the list.

Love the various grouping options. Perfect for classroom use.

The interface is difficult to work with, and should be more straight forward. Its challenging to import class lists and has confusing wording for the different options. Seems like it should not be this difficult. Waste of $.99...unless they can improve the navigation in adding classes/students.
